Privacy Policy
Plain language about what this site collects, why, and who sees it.
This website is operated by Ben Beauchamp, doing business as Swings by Benny (“we”, “us”), to take booking requests for private baseball training in Queens, NY. This policy explains what happens to the information you give us. If anything here is unclear, email swingsbybenny@gmail.com.
What we collect
The only information we collect is what you type into the booking form:
- Player name and playing level
- Email address, and phone number if you choose to give one
- Parent or guardian name, if the player is under 18
- The training type, date, and time you request
- Anything you write in the optional notes field
We do not use advertising trackers or sell data. Basic technical information (such as your IP address) is processed by our hosting provider to serve the site, and a one-way hash of it is kept briefly to limit automated abuse of the booking form.
Why we collect it
- To schedule and confirm your training session and tell you where it will be
- To contact you about that session by email or text
- To keep a record of sessions booked
Players under 18
Sessions for minors should be booked by a parent or guardian. The guardian field on the form is there so we know who to talk to. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13; if you believe a child has submitted the form on their own, email us and we will delete the request.
Who sees it
Your booking details are stored and handled by the services that run this site:
- Supabase — the database where booking requests are stored
- Vercel — the hosting platform that serves the website
- Google (Gmail) — used to send you a confirmation email and to alert Ben of your request
- Stripe — if and when you pay for a session online, your payment details go directly to Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Nobody else. We don’t share, rent, or sell your information to third parties.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept so Ben has a history of sessions with each player. You can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing swingsbybenny@gmail.com, and we will remove it unless we need to keep a record of a completed, paid session for bookkeeping.
Your choices
- You can ask what information we hold about you and get a copy
- You can ask us to correct or delete it
- You can book without giving a phone number or notes — only name, email, and session details are required
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. Continued use of the booking form after a change means you accept the updated policy.
